Adelaide was seated atop a rather large and leafless tree; one of the few standing in the middle of the dry desert. The earth beneath it was cracked dry red dirt for miles. The sun beat down upon everything, there wasn't single cloud in the pale blue sky. She didn't mind the heat, in fact she loved it. Sun bathing was her favorite thing to do, not only in her human form, but in her feline one as well. Cat's often enjoyed laying out in the sun, so her desire to do so seemed to overwhelm her even more when in this form. Her solid white fur stuck out against the drab layers of earthy colors around her. She could easily be spotted by a hungry bird of prey flying overhead, but she wasn't worried about that. Her mind was elsewhere, and she was already ready for anything.
Right now, she was waiting, hoping something interesting would happen. She had stayed in Australia the longest than any other place she had been to; So long that her voice was starting to change into the lovely accent of theirs that she enjoyed so much. Though, only slightly, her voice was still the soft and cheerful northern one she had before. A cloud of dust on the horizon caught her attention. She could feel excitement swelling up inside her with every fluttering beat of her heart. Then she saw them; Kangaroos! A very large group of them, hopping across the land. Even though she had seen a lot of them ever since she came here, they still amazed her. She loved animals, every kind and so it was very hard for her to choose which ones she wanted to be able to take on and shift into. So far she had only one; the cat.
She had become so used to the body over the years, she didn't know what else to pick. So, she observed the way they lived, contimplating which ones she was going to pick. Not only was learning how to move, hunt, climb, etc. in an animal's body hard, but first changing was as well. One first had to earn the animal's trust; which in her case a cat wasn't as hard as other things. For example, a tiger, a wolf or a bird. Those were three she had considered. They were wild, and dangerous. Too things she really liked and knew she could handle, but it would still take a lot of time. Being a skin-walker, other animals could already sense an animal presense about them. That gave them a slight advantage, but they still took on the appearance of a human and animals aren't the smartest of creatures. A bird would probably be the hardest, because they would just simply fly away if they get scared. She would have to capture one, and she didn't want to harm any creature. She knew that capturing one would only make it feel more wary of trusting her.

Turquoise converse kicked up dust with the footsteps of their owner. Finn, although not the outdoor type, was taking an interest in exploring this country while he was visiting. The photography company he was currently working for had paid for a business trip to the land down under, and he was taking as much as he could out of it. With a camera slung around his neck and a water canteen on his hip he had set out at sunrise to see what he could see. Not to mention he had his lucky blue barrette tucked to keep his bangs out of the way, a white and blue stripped bow sticking out against his terribly blonde locks.
In the heat of the day he was regretting the thick material of the skinny jeans he had chosen to wear, but was glad he hadn't bothered with anything more than some eyeliner. The sun had beat a red streak across his pale cheekbones and yet he was still enjoying the nature which surrounded him. A cloud of dust off to his right caught his attention, and he was able to get the camera awake and ready in time to get the perfect shot of the passing troop of Kangaroos. It was after he had spent a good five minutes pondering the wonder of this unique country when he noticed something smallish and white sitting atop one of the few and far between trees.
Why not take a look? Finn was really rather interested, this was the first whatever it was he had seen. As he got closer he recognized it as a white cat, which he thought as being odd for the wilds of Australia. But then again, there were those Skin-Walkers who could become animals as they wished. He had never met any unearthly being before, only heard about them. With a deep breath he came close to the tree and called up, "Hello!" His natural cheer was evident and he waited with mounting curiosity.

Her ears pricked at the sound of a friendly 'hello' coming from the ground below. She craned her neck to look down, and gave her best feline smile at what she saw. "Hi!" She meowed back with a very cheerful voice as well. Stepping up to her little white paws, she jumped down to a lower branch, before scrambling down the trunk of the tree backwards. Nearing the ground, she sheathed her claws and fell from the tree.
After landing on all fours, like any cat would, she twirled around happily to face this new friend. Her blue eyes looked him up and down, taking in his very colorful features. "What is your name, my colorful friend?" She asked, in a charming Australian accent, and a smile gleaming in her eyes.
